Dwyane Wade and family launch T-shirt line in support of LGBT community image

Dwyane Wade and his family are putting their money where their mouths are in support of the LGBT community.

The retired NBA star took to Instagram to announce a collaboration with the lifestyle brand YNGDNA. Both Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, promoted a new line of T-shirts intended to help GLSEN, which is a "leading national organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ students." Fifty percent of the proceeds from T-shirt sales will go to GLSEN, plus a $50,000 donation from the Wade family.

Wade closed the Instagram caption with the hashtag, "#wesupporteachotherwithpride."

In April, Wade shared photos of his family at the Miami Pride parade while traveling on the road with the Heat in support of his 12-year-old son, Zion.

The 17-year veteran also spoke earlier this year about the importance of standing alongside Zion in all that he does.

"You have the support of your father, you have the support of your family every step of the way," Wade said to Variety.

The entire Wade family posted variations of the photo announcing the collaboration, with Zaire Wade captioning, "THE WADES STAND AS ONE."
