Chris Boucher apologizes for violating Raptors' self-quarantine policy image

Chris Boucher has issued an apology on Instagram for violating the Toronto Raptors' self-quarantine policy.

"A few days ago, I broke our team mandated self-quarantine. I want to apologize to the city of Toronto, our fans and the Raptors organization," Boucher said. "While I have tested negative for COVID-19, it was never my intention to endanger our community. I recognize my mistake and have remained self-quarantine since. Let's stay safe Toronto."

The Athletic is reporting that Boucher violated the mandated self-quarantine before the results of his COVID-19 (coronavirus) test came back. He was reportedly seen grocery shopping.

Toronto was forced to go into self-quarantine for 14 days after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus on March 11.

On March 13, it was announced that all the COVID-19 tests of the Raptors traveling group came back negative.

The NBA is currently in the middle of at least a 30-day suspension of the 2019-20 season.
