Charles Barkley was in attendance at the second Democratic Party presidential debate Tuesday.

The former NBA player and current analyst weighed in on who he is supporting — a trio of candidates that includes San Antonio mayor Julián Castro — candidates on both sides taking black votes for granted and President Donald Trump.

Barkley has been outspoken about these issues before and took a lap through the debate's spin room to talk to media ahead of the event.

"I think all politicians take black votes for granted," he said. "They talk to black folks every four years and that's about it, how they're going to make our lives better and they do nothing about it. Both parties suck in that aspect. It is not a Republican or Democrat thing. It's not a liberal or conservative thing. It's an economic thing, economic opportunity and that's what both parties are neglecting."

He was then asked about his feelings on Trump.

"He says some things that can be construed as racist," Barkley said. "Some things he says are very wrong and flagrant. ... There are some things he says that really need to be — especially when he has an opportunity to denounce white nationalism and things like that, he can do a much better job.

Barkley also said he is supporting Pete Buttigieg but has not picked a front-runner yet.
