Canadian Brandon Clarke is set to chase his dream by declaring for the 2019 NBA Draft on Wednesday.

Clarke penned a letter that thanked the fans, his head coach Mark Few and his teammates at Gonzaga University.

"These have been the best two years of my life," Clarke said in the letter. "I will always be proud to be a Zag! With the support from our coaching staff and my family, I have decided to chase my dream of playing in the NBA."

Clarke transferred to Gonzaga from San Jose State after winning Mountain West Six Man of the Year his freshman year. As a sophomore, he was named to the All-Mountain West First Team and Mountain West All-Defensive Team.

This season, Clarke averaged 16.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. He was named West Coast Conference's Newcomer of the Year, the WCC's Defensive Player of the Year and was All-WCC First Team.

In his one season at Gonzaga, Clarke set a school record for blocks in a single season with 117. He also has the sixth-highest career mark at the school.

Clarke has been getting plenty of NBA lottery projections all season long and could transition to the league as an elite rim-protector.

The 22-year-old was born in Vancouver, BC and moved to Phoenix, Arizona when he was just three.

Clarke is listed at 6-foot-8 and 215 pounds with a 6-foot-10 wingspan.
