While it opened exhibition play with a loss to Germany, Canada enters Thursday's matchup with Spain on a two-game winning streak. Following a blowout victory over New Zealand, Canada defeated Germany on Sunday in a thrilling rematch that went into overtime.
RJ Barrett was the star for Canada against Germany, delivering a team-best 31 points on an almost perfect 13-for-14 shooting. He received help from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Kelly Olynyk, who combined for 46 points.
Canada has two warm-up games remaining on its schedule before heading to Indonesia for the group phase of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

In the lead-up to the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, Canada will face Spain in an exhibition game on Thursday, Aug. 17. The game is scheduled to start around 3:30 p.m. ET and will be played at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes de Granada in Granada, Spain.
