Through its first two games of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, Canada looks the part of a legitimate title contender.
After handing France a 30-point loss in the World Cup opener, Canada delivered another dominant performance on Sunday, capturing a 128-73 win over Lebanon to move to 2-0 in the group stage. RJ Barrett led a balanced scoring attack with 17 points.
Canada has one first-round game left on its schedule, but it has already clinched a spot in the second round because France lost to Latvia on Sunday. Canada will next face Latvia on Tuesday, and the winner of that game will earn the No. 1 seed in Group H.
