As preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics continued, two of the world's strongest basketball powers went head to head in Orléans, France.
Led by Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert and Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama, host nation France took the floor against MVP runner-up Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Canadian Senior Men's National Team.
Gilgeous-Alexander proved to be the best player on the floor, pouring in 23 points in an 85-73 victory over France. Victor Wembanyama had to navigate early foul trouble, only finishing with 10 points.
