11:20 a.m. — Yago Santos drives to the basket and finishes at the rim to give Brazil a four-point lead. Canada turns the ball over on the next possession and fouls to stop the clock.
11:15 a.m. — Brazil scores to take a two-point lead, but Luguentz Dort answers with a 3-pointer — or did he? A review shows that Dort didn't release the ball before the shot clock expired. No good. Brazil 62, Canada 60 with 45.6 seconds left.
11:10 a.m. — The officiating crew reviews an out-of-bounds call and determines that the ball went off a Brazilian player. The shot clock also resets because he had control of the ball. Brazil 60, Canada 59 with under two minutes.

10:45 a.m. — Brazil trims Canada's lead all the way down to four, but Canada responds with an 8-2 run to push it back to 10. There appears to be an issue with one of the nets, so both teams will head to their benches for a short break.
10:40 a.m. — Canada may be without its best perimeter defender for extended minutes. Dillon Brooks just picked up his fourth personal foul.
10:30 a.m. — The second half is underway. Brazil scores on its first possession to cut the deficit to eight.

10:10 a.m. — The officiating crew reviews a Bruno Caboclo strike to Kelly Olynyk's head and determines that it meets the criteria for an unsportsmanlike foul. Olynyk hits the free throws, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander drains a midrange jumper to give Canada an eight-point lead.
10 a.m. — Luguentz Dort has provided a spark off the bench. After sinking a corner 3-pointer, the Thunder guard now has nine points in 10 minutes.
9:55 a.m. — Kelly Olynyk drills a deep 3-pointer to tie the game, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker applies pressure on the ball. Canada is trying to pick up the pace and produce more fast break opportunities.
End of first quarter: Brazil 16, Canada 13
9:50 a.m. — A rough quarter for Canada on the offensive end. The Canadians missed 11 of their 15 field goal attempts. Bruno Caboclo has been terrific for Brazil, totaling nine points, three rebounds, three blocks and one steal.
9:45 a.m. — Brazil clearly wants this game to be played in a half-court setting, and its strategy is working so far. Brazil has jumped out to a 12-5 lead.
9:35 a.m. — And here we go. Canada wins the jump ball, but it is unable to score on the opening possession.
9:25 a.m. — We are just minutes away from the start of the game. Canada will roll out a starting lineup of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, RJ Barrett, Dillon Brooks, Kelly Olynyk and Dwight Powell.
