Canada punched its ticket to the semi-finals of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup with a commanding win over Puerto Rico.
Now, Canada faces its toughest test yet.
In the early hours of Friday morning, Canada will meet the USA in the semi-finals. The USA enters the matchup with a perfect record. After going 5-0 in group play, it defeated Serbia by 33 points in the quarter-finals.
Coming off of a WNBA season that saw her win Defensive Player of the Year, MVP and a championship, A'Ja Wilson leads the USA in scoring with 17.3 points per game, putting her behind only Puerto Rico's Arella Guirantes (18.2) for the highest scoring average in the tournament. Wilson's Aces teammate Kelsey Plum isn't far behind with 16.0 points per game.
Bridget Carleton continued her strong play for Canada with 15 points in its quarter-finals win. Kia Nurse also stepped up with a team-best 17 points.

Canada and the USA will meet in the semi-finals of the 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup at 3:00 a.m. ET on Friday. The game will be played at Australia's Sydney SuperDome.
The winner will advance to the final to face either Australia or China.
