Two wins separate Canada from a spot in the final of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.

Canada finished behind Australia in Group B, earning it a showdown with Puerto Rico in the quarter-finals, which will be played in Australia at the Sydney SuperDome in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Canada went 4-1 in group play. It lost a thriller to Australia but defeated Serbia, France, Japan and Mali. Bridget Carleton led the team in scoring with 14.8 points per game, putting her behind only eight players for the highest scoring average so far in the tournament.

Puerto Rico finished group play with a 2-3 record and qualified for the quarter-finals with a win against Korea.
