The 76ers have found their sharpshooter.

Philadelphia was searching for some shooting help on the wing at the trade deadline and that comes in the form of Buddy Hield.

The 76ers have reportedly acquired the 31-year-old from the Pacers as they work to build a championship-contending roster around reigning MVP Joel Embiid and breakout All-Star Tyrese Maxey.

What did Philadelphia have to give up to get Hield? The Sporting News has you covered with trade details below.

Buddy Hield trade details

76ers receive:

  • Buddy Hield

Pacers receive:

  • Marcus Morris Sr.
  • Furkan Korkmaz
  • Three second-round picks

The 76ers land Hield for two expiring contracts in Morris and Korkmaz and three second-round picks, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Philadelphia had been looking to add a floor-spacing wing to make life easier for Embiid and Maxey, and Hield has been one of the most prolific 3-point shooters since he entered the NBA.

Over his eight-year career, Hield has buried 1,842 triples at an efficient 40.4 percent clip. The only player who has hit more 3s since Hield was drafted in 2016 is the greatest shooter of all time, Stephen Curry (2,011).

The 76ers will need all the scoring help they can get down the stretch of the regular season, looking to replace Embiid's 35.3 points per game as he recovers from a left knee injury.

The incentive for the Pacers is the three future second-round picks that were tacked onto Morris and Korkmaz, who will both become unrestricted free agents this offseason.

Buddy Hield contract details

Hield is in the final year of the four-year, $94 million deal he signed with the Kings back in 2019.

The veteran shooter has been traded twice on his current contract. He went from Sacramento to Indiana in the trade that brought Tyrese Haliburton to the Pacers, and now he'll land with the 76ers before hitting unrestricted free agency this summer.
