Bruce Brown Jr.'s future with the Raptors has been uncertain since the franchise acquired him in January.

With the NBA offseason underway, that noise has gotten even louder.

How loud? Brown is even beginning to chime in on the conversations with Raptors fans on X (formerly Twitter).

With the 2024 NBA Draft came more rumors suggesting Brown could be on the way out of Toronto. And while that appears to be welcomed news for Raptors fans, Brown has seemingly taken exception to their position.

Here's how one post on X managed to catch Brown's attention.

Days before the NBA Draft, Brown took to X to say it "should be an interesting week," along with his trademark cowboy emoji. On draft day, Brown caught wind of a Raptors fan who was seemingly ready to move on.

At 6:31 p.m. ET, X user @hoopgoose posted "last day of Bruce Brown" on my team along with a celebratory emoji. While the post does not mention Brown's handle, he saw the post and responded with a simple question nearly four hours later: "Damn y'all really don't want me huh?"

Within an hour, Brown's post amassed over 1,000 engagements.

Brown, who will turn 28 ahead of next season, joined the Raptors as part of the January trade that sent Pascal Siakam to the Pacers. After playing a key role in Denver's run to the 2023 NBA title, Brown signed a two-year, $45 million deal with Indiana.

The second year of Brown's contract is non-guaranteed but his $23.0 million salary makes him an attractive trade chip as he could return value to Toronto in any potential deal. It also helps that Brown is a player who would fit well with several teams and, as he showed with the Nuggets, is the perfect glue-type player with teams looking to contend.

While many thought the Raptors would part ways with Brown during the February trade deadline, Toronto was not able to strike a deal, meaning the focus would shift to a potential offseason trade.

Raptors fans may be ready to move on, but Brown seems to enjoy some parts of being a part of the franchise. His situation will be one to monitor throughout the offseason.
