Bronny James is keeping the Nike brand in the family name.

On Monday, Nike announced it signed Bronny, the oldest son of LeBron, to a name, image and likeness endorsement deal ahead of his senior season at Sierra Canyon.

Along with James, Nike also reached NIL endorsement deals with DJ Wagner (the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2023), Iowa women's basketball star Caitlin Clark, Stanford women's basketball star Haley Jones and Sierra Canyon girls basketball star JuJu Watkins.

The terms of James' NIL deal were not released, but he will join his father as part of the Swoosh family.

"For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family,” Bronny said in Nike's official release. “Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild — it really means a lot to me.”

LeBron James' history with Nike

The James family has a history with Nike, so it should come as no surprise that Bronny landed with the Swoosh.

Back in 2003, before LeBron was even drafted, Nike signed the 18-year-old phenom to the largest rookie shoe deal in league history at seven years, $90 million.

Earning just over $12 million a year, James' rookie shoe deal was the largest annual salary until Jordan Brand signed Zion Williamson to a five-year, $75 million contract ($15 million annually) heading into his rookie season in 2019.

In 2015, James signed another historic deal with Nike, landing a lifetime contract with the brand that is worth $32 million annually, according to Forbes.
