Best NBA prop bets today: Anthony Davis, Devin Booker highlight top picks for opening night image

The 2023-24 NBA regular season tips off with a nationally televised doubleheader on Tuesday night. The defending-champion Nuggets host the Lakers (7:30 p.m. ET, TNT) in the opener, followed by a Pacific Division battle between the Warriors and Suns (10:00 p.m. ET, TNT) in the nightcap. For NBA DFS players searching for profitable betting opportunities, we've pinpointed several player props worth wagering on via SuperDraft

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging. If you were to put down a $20 entry fee and all four of our props below hit, you'd get a $200 payout.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite player props on SuperDraft for Tuesday's NBA doubleheader. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

Best NBA prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Lakers-Nuggets, Warriors-Suns

1. Anthony Davis, PF, Lakers - OVER 24.5 points

Despite getting swept by the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals last season, Davis was a matchup nightmare for Denver's interior defense. Davis averaged 26.8 points per game in that series, attempting 17.8 shots per game and canning nearly half his attempts (49.3 FG%).

Against a Nuggets' defense that allowed the second-highest two-point field goal percentage last regular season (57.5%), look for Davis to thrive as a focal point of the Lakers' offensive game plan.

2. Devin Booker, SG, Suns  - OVER 26.5 points

With Bradley Beal (back) unlikely to make his Suns debut tonight, we think one of the game's purest scorers gets his on Tuesday night assuming if he's able to navigate his toe injury and suit up..

In a projected high-scoring contest that should feature plenty of possessions (over/under set at 233 points), a 20-plus shot night isn't out of the equation for Phoenix's lead guard. Booker's gone OVER 26.5 points in his past three games against the Warriors, and we like his chances of extending that streak to four.

If Booker (toe) isn't healthy enough to start tonight, we'd look towards Durant's OVER on points given his projected usage sans Beal and Booker.

3. D'Angelo Russell, PG, Lakers - UNDER 14 points

While Lakers head coach Darvin Ham expects a "big" season from Russell, his inefficiency down the stretch makes us hesitant to bet on a strong debut for L.A.'s lead guard. Russell had trouble scoring consistently against a sound Nuggets interior defense, shooting 32.3 percent from the field in the WCF.

Couple that with the addition of fellow guard Gabe Vincent, and we think Russell fails to hit this number in the season opener.

4. Aaron Gordon, PF, Nuggets - UNDER 14 points

With Gordon likely to see a heavy dose of LeBron James and Rui Hachiumura on the offensive end, we think he'll struggle to reach 15-plus points on Tuesday night. Despite playing 37 minutes per game in the WCF, Gordon averaged fewer than 10 shots per game (9.3 FGA). In a regular season game that likely results in Gordon playing closer to 30 minutes, we don't think he sees enough volume to eclipse this number.

Unless the Lakers choose to sag off Gordon to focus more on Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, it will be tough for Gordon to burn them enough to score 15-plus.
