Kyle Larson certainly knows how to qualify at Sonoma Raceway.
Now he's got to show he can get around the course in the race.
The Chip Ganassi Racing driver won the pole for Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350, marking his third straight pole at the road course.
But after finishing 14th last year and 26th in 2017, he's looking for more on race day.
"I guess the trend of my three poles, getting the pole and struggling in the race, I hope it's not the same tomorrow," Larson told FS1.
"We'll see if we can do a little better tomorrow."
It's Larson's first pole this season and eighth of his career.
William Byron, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top five in qualifying.
The Toyota/Save Mart 350 begins at 3 p.m. ET Sunday on FS1.
