5:15 — And now it's Truex's turn to take a pit stop while in the lead, doing so with 30 laps to go.
5:06 — Harvick heads to pit road, squandering the lead with 38 laps to go. Bold strategy, let's see if it pays off.
5:02 — Ryan Blaney is one of many drivers having trouble with the track's surface today.
a little insight here on why blaney is having such a hard time just because of the power steering issue. at road courses, you run a faster steering box, which makes the wheel more responsive (more like a go kart) but when its not powered, it takes much much more effort to turn

. @Blaney 's ride is showing a few Sonoma Scars.

4:40 — Fifty-five laps down, 55 laps to go. Kevin Harvick is your leader at the halfway mark, five laps into the third and final stage.
4:29 — Many drivers, including the leaders, have elected to hit pit road right before the second stage was over. As a result, Denny Hamlin wins the second stage, but it remains tight at the top.

4:08 — Allmendinger is done after an engine failure. The stage one winner is understandably down after that one, but he seems to be owning up to it.
In-car shot shows very dejected Allmendinger. Damn, that’s sad right there.
— Jeff Gluck (@jeff_gluck) June 24, 2018
AJ Allmendinger will now have finished 35th or worse in four of the last five Sonoma races.
— Jeff Gluck (@jeff_gluck) June 24, 2018
He took awhile to get out of the car. I think just dejected.
"It's completely on me," AJ said over the radio.
