The Southern 500 will be the last race of the 2024 NASCAR regular season, set to be held this weekend at the Darlington Raceway.
The 75th instance of the Southern 500 at Darlington, dubbed "The Track Too Tough to Tame," will be a test of mettle for the drivers and their vehicles. Several notable NASCAR races have taken place at this iconic egg-shaped circuit, including Kyle Larson's first victory last year.
Darlington has a lot of history and is certainly one of the most anticipated races in the circuit. There will be plenty on the line this year, with Tyler Reddick looking to clinch the championship if nothing goes wrong.
Some drivers, including RFK Racing's Chris Buescher, will be hoping to qualify for the play-offs and might need a strong finish at Darlington. He does have a strong record on this track and might be fancying his chances.
