The NASCAR Cup Series returns to America's Premier Short Track, and that is likely a welcome sight for Joe Gibbs Racing.
JGR has yet to place a driver in Victory Lane this season, and the team has only three combined top-five finishes in 2023, all from Christopher Bell.

But Richmond Raceway has been a friendly track for Gibbs. The team has won six of the past nine races there, including Denny Hamlin in the Toyota Owners 400 in 2022, and Martin Truex Jr. in 2019. Truex won the Federated Auto Parts 400 in 2019 and 2021.
Hamlin and Truex are both looking for not only their first wins of the season, but also their first top-fives.
