After a lengthy injury absence, Chase Elliott is back in the No. 9 car for Hendrick Motorsports. And he'll be hoping to make up for lost time at Martinsville Speedway, a track at which he has fared pretty well over the course of his NASCAR Cup Series career (one win, five top-five finishes in 15 races).
Elliott fractured his leg March 3 in a snowboarding accident, knocking him out of the next six Cup Series races. HMS replaced him with Josh Berry for five races and Jordan Taylor for one. Berry impressed at times and even snagged a runner-up finish at Richmond.

But he's not Elliott. The 2020 Cup Series champion is NASCAR's most popular driver. And with a spot in the Cup Series playoffs still at stake — NASCAR waived its eligibility requirements for the 27-year-old — Elliott knows his best path to the postseason is through a win. Will it happen at Martinsville this weekend?
