NASCAR lineup at Dover: Starting order, pole for DuraMAX Drydene 400 after qualifying image

The NASCAR Cup Series season rolls on Sunday with the DuraMAX Drydene 400 at Dover Motor Speedway (3:10 p.m. ET green flag, FS1, TSN5, MRN). The race lineup was set through single-car qualifying on Saturday.

A first-time pole winner will lead the field, and he knows his way around the Monster Mile. He will try to turn that track position into a win and a berth in the playoffs.

NASCAR is conducting qualifying for all races this season after a year-plus of limited sessions because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here's a look at the pole winner and starting lineup for the 11th race of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Who won the pole for the NASCAR race at Dover?

Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing's Chris Buescher earned the pole position for Sunday's race with a qualifying lap of 160.149 mph. The pole is the first of Buescher's Cup Series career.

"At the end of the day it is all about that checkered flag at the end of the race. It is really cool, though. I have been really close (to a pole) here at Dover on the Xfinity side and this is a place I have loved coming to forever," Buescher said, per NASCAR.com.

Buescher's best Cup finish at Dover is 14th in 2020. He won there in the Xfinity Series in 2015 after qualifying second.

Buescher will be joined in the front row by Denny Hamlin. The Joe Gibbs Racing star turned a 159.744 mph lap in the 10-driver final round of qualifying. He has one Cup win at Dover; it came in 2020.
