It may not have the shimmer of Daytona, Talladega or Indianapolis. But Dover is a monster of a track, capable of chewing up and spitting out cars.
LIVE: Updates, race results, highlights from Wurth 400 at Dover
Perhaps it's the concrete oval. Or maybe that harrowing sand-like statue. But things tend to get rough when the Cup Series rolls into the First State. Recall David Gilliland and Ryan Newman's scuffle from 2013, among other incidents.
There's always a lot to race for in the Cup Series, not least a win and a spot in the playoffs. And what better way to set up a trip to victory lane on Sunday than capturing the pole on Saturday?

Here's what you need to know about the pole sitter for Monday's rain-delayed Wurth 400.
Who won the pole for Dover in 2023?
Kyle Busch didn't win the pole, per se, but rather was announced as the pole winner for the Wurth 400 based on NASCAR's mathematical formula after Saturday's qualifying session was rained out. That's his 32nd career pole and first of the season.
With qualifying rained out, @KyleBusch will lead the field to green at the @MonsterMile.

NASCAR at Dover starting lineup 2023
Making up the front row for Monday's race will be Busch and former Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell. Returning to the field is Josh Berry, who will take the reins of Alex Bowman's No. 48 car after the Hendrick Motorsports star fractured his vertebra earlier in the week in a sprint car race.
