NASCAR at Dover: Odds, prediction, sleepers, drivers to watch for Gander RV 400 image

This week NASCAR heads to the Monster Mile at Dover International Speedway in Delaware and there are plenty of storylines around this one.

It's undeniable that Kyle Busch has been the best driver across every series this year as he has now finished in the top 10 in every single race he has run.

He has three career wins in Dover and four top 10s in his last eight races. This event is tailor made for him to win again.

But Chase Elliott is coming off of his first victory of the season, is the defending champion at Dover and has five career top-5 finishes in six races at the mile-long track.

He has to be in consideration for a win.

And then again, Martin Truex Jr. has four top-4 finishes in his last five runs at Dover and Kevin Harvick has three top 10s, including a win, in his last four trips to the track.

This one feels like it's anyone's game, but we'll go with Elliott to win this week as he strung victories together last year when he got hot and we have a feeling he'll do it again.

The Gander RV 400 can be seen Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on FOX.

Which NASCAR drivers should you watch at the Gander RV 400?

Kyle Larson has to figure it out at some point right? While he hasn't been good this year — he hasn't finished inside the top 18 in five races — he's one of the most talented young drivers on tour and he's just too good to keep down. Dover might be the race he gets it together as he has seven top 10s in 10 career races — including four in the top 5 — at the Monster Mile.

Denny Hamlin has two wins this season and is looking to have another year where he's always near the top of the pack at the end of seemingly every race. He has never won at Dover but he has five top-10 finishes in his last six races there.

Jimmie Johnson is getting overlooked for this race. He has two top-10 finishes in his last four races this year which people seem to be ignoring and he has 11 career wins at Dover International Speedway in the Cup Series. Put that together with four top-10 finishes in his last five races there and you'd be silly to think he doesn't run well Sunday.

One sleeper for the Gander RV 400

Daniel Suarez loves the Monster Mile. He has run four races in the Cup Series there and has finished in the top 10 in all four. He finished in the top 10 in Delaware in his last five races in the Xfinity Series and earned top-2 finishes in each of his two runs in the truck series. That means in his last 11 runs on the track at any level he has finished in the top 10. At 50/1 this feels like a steal.
