NASCAR at Chicagoland: Results, highlights from Kyle Busch's Overton's 400 victory image

Kyle Busch took home the Overton's 400 at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. in a photo finish on Sunday. 

Busch started to take control in the third and final stage of the race. Kyle Larson was constantly right behind Busch, and it seemed that Busch was finally able to separate from him with five laps to go. But Larson took the lead in the final lap after forcing Busch against the wall. Busch took the lead right back after he got directly behind Larson and bumped him out of the way.

The win gives Busch a career total of 48 wins and his fifth of the season.

Larson finished second, followed by Kevin Harvick and defending champion Martin Truex Jr. 

Aric Almirola won the first stage, good for his first career stage victory. But he finished 25th after multiple pit stops due to loose tires. Harvick won the second stage.

6:12 — The aftermath:

5:32 — Here's video of the incredible finish: 

5:26 — WOW. PHOTO FINISH. Larson had Busch against the wall and took the lead before Busch rear-ended Larson and had him spinning enough to take the lead right back. The entire sequence took place in the final lap. Kyle Busch is your winner. 

5:23 — Five to go. Kyle Busch gaining separation. Larson lost momentum by trying to take the outside lane. Instead, he scrapes the wall. 

5:20 — Ten to go. Kyle Busch is still in front, but Larson is right on his tail. 

5:15 — Crunch time. With 20 laps to go, Kyle Busch is in front, followed by Larson and Harvick. 

5:10 — It's shaping up to be a mano-a-mano battle between Kyle Busch and Harvick to close this thing out.

5:05 — Almirola races back into the top 10 but opts for another pit stop due to another issue with his wheels. 

4:55 — After a bevy of drivers make pit stops, Kyle Busch is now in the lead with 55 laps to go. 

4:51 — Racers have been warned of a potential storm approaching the area. 

4:32 — Many drivers have taken pit stops at this point. Brad Keselowski has not, and he's the new leader. 

4:29 — Busch and Kyle Larson each take brief leads before Harvick takes it right back. 

4:25 — With exactly 100 laps to go, Harvick is in the lead with Busch still right behind him. 

4:23 — More on Stage 2's photo finish: 

4:15 — Harvick overtakes Busch just in time to take the second stage. After 160 laps, there are only 107 left. 

4:10 — Almirola now finds himself in 26th and an entire lap behind. Kurt Busch is now in the lead.

4:04 — Almirola relinquishes his lead for a pit stop due to a loose wheel. 

4:01 — Blaney briefly took the lead before Almirola took it back. We're at lap 133 out of 267, so just around the halfway mark. 

3:49 — Harvick has taken the lead at the halfway point between the first two stages. 

3:31 — Almirola hangs on to the lead less than 10 laps into the second stage, but Kevin Harvick is right behind him. 

3:20 — After 80 laps, Aric Almirola wins the first stage. It is the first of his career. 

3:05 — Bowyer was a little eager exiting pit road and loses his lead. 

2:57 — Truex Jr. got it done last week with some saavy decision making on when to take his pit stops. Today, he's the first frontrunner to head to pit road with just a couple of laps to go before the halfway point of the first stage. 

2:54 — Bowyer is still in front but the field isn't far behind. 

2:43 —  Clint Bowyer leads after 18 laps, almost a quarter of the way done with the first stage. 

2:36 — Ryan Blaney is your early leader.
