Dirt and grime.
The NASCAR Cup Series gets filthy this weekend, with the Food City Dirt Race on the docket. Bristol is already one of the more dramatic tracks in the competition; at just .533 miles long, the "Last Colosseum of Racing" is among the shortest tracks in NASCAR. Couple that with copious amounts of dirt and dust and you got yourself one of the more unpredictable races on the Cup Series calendar.
Case in point: Last year, Tyler Reddick was seconds away from his first-ever Cup Series win in the dirt. But a bump and spin by Chase Briscoe sent him off course, giving Kyle Busch a victory and robbing Reddick of that all-important win.
It wasn't pretty. It wasn't fun. But it was entertaining.
So, what's in the cards for this year's iteration of the race? Only time will tell. But we know you'll be watching it one way or another.
