Hendrick Motorsports found itself in some hot water last week.
The storied racing organization, which has housed some of the best drivers past and present — from Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson to Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson — was fined $400,000 after NASCAR found the organization modified air-deflecting pieces during last week's race at Phoenix.
In addition to the mammoth fine — the largest for a single organization in NASCAR history — Hendrick drivers Larson, William Byron and Alex Bowman were also docked 100 regular-season points and 10 playoff points, major deductions that could prove fatal come postseason play.

The move puts the early season Cup Series standings in serious disarray. Bowman, Byron and Larson were first, fourth and fifth in points, respectively. They now sit the the 20s.
It was a huge announcement, one that could have serious ramifications on the Cup Series slate. And with the Ambetter Health 400 coming up, all eyes will be fixed to Atlanta to see how Hendrick's stars react.
