Quite arguably, the knockout of the year just took place on the preliminary card of UFC 228.

Geoff Neal was squaring off against Frank Camacho in welterweight action. Early in the second round, Neal and Camacho were exchanging heavy shots against the cage. Despite eating an immense amount of punishment, Camacho walked to the center of the cage and screamed for Neal to bring it on. Neal backed off and invited Camacho to come forward. Camacho accepted the invitation. However, rather than Neal firing off another barrage of punches, he stepped forward and cut loose a vicious left high kick that knocked Camacho out immediately and sent him crashing to the canvas.

The highlight reel KO was Neal's fourth consecutive win, all of them coming by stoppage. A new contender has arrived at 170 pounds.
