Many Bellator fighters weren't too surprised by Conor McGregor punching an elderly man in a Dublin pub on April 6, according to comments made in an interview with DAZN released Saturday.
"It's what I already knew," said Tim Johnson, Bellator heavyweight. "Conor ... is kind of a d-bag. Once he got all of his millions, it was just going to amplify it."

MORE: Khabib says no McGregor rematch in the immediate future
That was a sentiment shared by multiple other fighters interviewed.
Heavyweight Matt Mitrione said, "Not everybody should have money." Lightweight Corey Browning said McGregor acquired "too much everything, too fast."
There were some fighters, such as middleweight Austin Vanderford and heavyweight Tyrell Fortune, whose reactions were a bit more measured.
"[The man] probably said something to piss him off," Fortune said. "Those people, they look for fighters. They look for boxers and people they can get a rise out of. ... But it doesn't give Conor the right to punch him in the face."
Video of McGregor's punch, which failed to dislodge the man from his barstool, surfaced in August. Police have not filed any charges.
Excepting barroom sucker punches, McGregor hasn't participated in a fight in nearly a year, since Khabib Nurmagomedov beat him by submission in Oct. 2018. It's not clear when, or if, he will fight again, which Browning also discussed.
"I don't think he's going to fight anybody again," Browning said. "Anybody that he does fight would probably end up destroying him. And I think he probably knows."
Heavyweight Rudy Schaffroth wouldn't mind McGregor disappearing from the limelight.
"I'm not going to give him the time of day for a response," Schaffroth said, declining comment when asked about the sucker punch.
