After a successful start to the PFL Playoffs, the Professional Fighters League returns to New York, with heavyweights and featherweights competing for a spot in the PFL Finals. PFL 8 takes place at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater on August 18 and will be streamed on ESPN+ in the U.S. and DAZN in the U.K.
The main event will be Renan Ferreira vs. Maurice Greene in heavyweight action.
Ferreira joined the PFL in 2021 and is 4-1 with three no-contests with the promotion. He fought Rizvan Kuniev to a no-contest in April but beat Matheus Scheffel via knockout to advance.
Greene is a former UFC fighter who joined the PFL in 2022. Greene beat Marcelo Nunes in April but lost against Ante Delija in June. He replaces Marcelo Nunes, who withdrew due to injury.
