The New York Red Bulls are headed to the MLS playoffs after taking a 3-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Goals from Daniel Royer, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Felipe made sure club would be in the playoffs for the 14th time in 15 years, with the Red Bulls running their tally to eight straight years in the MLS postseason.

All six playoff teams in the Eastern Conference have now been determined, but the seeding for the six sides could still change.

Toronto FC has already won the Supporters' Shield and as such will be the top seed in the East, the New York City FC that currently sits second holds just a three-point edge on third placed Atlanta United.

The Red Bulls, sixth in the table after Saturday's result, are out of the running for a first-round bye, but the Columbus Crew (5th) and Chicago Fire (4th) are both in with a chance to finish in the top two as well.

In the Western Conference, only the Whitecaps are assured of a place in the playoffs.

Sporting Kansas City missed a chance to book its place in postseason with a 1-1 draw against Minnesota United leaving the side needing just a point to secure a playoff place.
