Coming off a third-place finish in the Western Conference during the 2017 regular season, the Vancouver Whitecaps look to go a step or two further this season.

With the West as wide open as ever, the 'Caps have an opportunity to replicate or even improve upon their franchise-best finish of 2015. In that season, Vancouver ended the regular season second in the West and third overall, earning a bye into the conference semifinals. The Whitecaps managed to reach that same stage of the postseason last year, but fell to nearby rival Seattle.

In 2018, Vancouver will aim for more consistency from a squad that underwent an offseason overhaul. The biggest names to join the 'Caps ahead of the 2018 MLS season — with a majority of the league games available to stream in Canada on DAZN — were league veterans Kei Kamara, Felipe and Doneil Henry, with former Mexican international Efrain Juarez and English midfielder Jordan Mutch also among the more notable incoming players. Heading the other way were the likes of defensive stalwarts Tim Parker, Jordan Harvey and David Ousted, along with midfielders Matias Laba and Mauro Rosales, and on-loan striker Fredy Montero.

Despite the turnover, head coach Carl Robinson still has a core of familiar faces and will be looking to round his new-look squad into form in a Western Conference that is there for the taking.

How to stream the Vancouver Whitecaps

At least 262 regular-season MLS games can be streamed live on DAZN Canada, with those of the three Canadian franchises being shown on a 48-hour delay. Vancouver Whitecaps games can be seen on DAZN in both condensed and full versions.
