The Astros are back. For the fourth time in six seasons and the second year in a row, they find themselves in the World Series. It has been a dominant showing for Dusty Baker's squad this year; it has won seven games in a row to get to the Fall Classic.

An ALCS sweep earns Houston a nice little rest period before the World Series, but they Astros will facing a team that has also been dominant. The Phillies, the sixth seed in the NL as the last team into the playoffs, beat the Padres in five games in the NLCS. That will put them up against the AL's No. 1 seed.

Bryce Harper is living up to the hype he has received since he 16. He has posted a 1.351 OPS in the playoffs, with his magnum opus being a two-run home run in the eighth inning of NLCS Game 5 to propel the Phillies to the World Series. Behind Harper and some outstanding starting pitching, the Phillies have defied the odds every step of the way.

The Astros, meanwhile, are doing what they do. They swept the Mariners in three games in the ALDS before routing the Yankees in four. They are arguably the most well-rounded team in baseball. Their pitching staff has been strong, the bullpen has been excellent, the defense has been sound, and the trio of Yordan Alvarez, Alex Bregman and Kyle Tucker is one of the best 3-4-5 units in MLB.
