World Series 2017: Astros or Dodgers? Sporting News experts make their picks image

After six more than months, 162 games and three rounds of playoffs (if you count the wild-card games), the Astros and Dodgers are the last teams standing and will face off in the 2017 World Series starting Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

The Dodgers, winners of 104 regular-season games, are in the Fall Classic for the first time since 1988. The Astros, winners of 101 games, are back for the first time since 2005. Both teams boast strong pitching and a potent offense, which should make for quite the entertaining series.

Will Clayton Kershaw, arguably baseball's best pitcher, dominate his way to a Dodgers victory parade full of Hollywood glitz, or will probable AL MVP Jose Altuve be the star of the show and lead Houston to the crown?
