Blue Jays World Series odds: Toronto enters the 2022 season as one of the favorites to win title image

"Last year was the trailer. What you are going to see this year is the movie."

Those are the words of slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who is putting high expectations on a young and rejuvenated Blue Jays squad. The oddsmakers agree, predicting the equivalent of an Oscar-winning season for Canada's team.

The Blue Jays have shot up the odds charts, becoming one of the favorites to not only win the AL East, but win the American League and the World Series. This comes after finishing with a record of 91-71 in 2021 and just one game shy of making the postseason.

Toronto is a team on the rise, with two of the brightest young stars in the game in Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, in addition to owning a revamped starting rotation after re-signing Jose Berrios and adding Kevin Gausman and Yusei Kikuchi. The team enters the 2022 season with a lot of attention on it, and rightfully so.

So what are the odds for the Blue Jays to win the World Series? Here is where the Blue Jays stack up against the rest of the league, according to Sports Interaction

What are the Blue Jays' odds of winning the AL East?

After a fourth-place finish last season, the oddsmakers at Sports Interaction think the Blue Jays will shoot up to the top.

Toronto has the best odds entering the 2022 season to win the division at +170. The team has only won the AL East six times in franchise history and has not earned the division title since 2015.

Here is a breakdown of the odds of all five teams in the division to win the AL East:

AL EAST ODDS
TEAM ODDS
Toronto Blue Jays +162
New York Yankees +221
Tampa Bay Rays +264
Boston Red Sox +504
Baltimore Orioles +17400

What are the Blue Jays' odds of winning the American League?

The Blue Jays enter the season with the highest odds to win the American League, sitting slightly ahead the Astros.

Toronto has only won the AL pennant twice, going back-to-back in 1992 and 1993. They reached the ALCS in 2015 and 2016, however, but fell short in both of those series.

Here is a breakdown of the teams with the best odds to win the AL:

AMERICAN LEAGUE ODDS
TEAM ODDS
Toronto Blue Jays +390
Houston Astros +416
Chicago White Sox +536
New York Yankees +555
Tampa Bay Rays +641
Boston Red Sox +843

What are the Blue Jays' odds of winning the World Series?

The two seasons in which the Blue Jays won the American League are also the two seasons that the team won the World Series, maintaining an undefeated record in Fall Classic appearances. The Marlins are the only other franchise to have never lost in a World Series appearance.

Sports Interaction gives the Blue Jays the second-highest odds at winning it all in 2022. Only the Dodgers have better odds ahead of the season.

Here is a breakdown of the teams with the best odds at winning the World Series:

WORLD SERIES ODDS
TEAM ODDS
Los Angeles Dodgers +448
Toronto Blue Jays +805
Houston Astros +910
