Blue Jays sign top draft pick Jordan Groshans image

Jordan Groshans is officially a member of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The No. 12 overall pick in last week's 2018 MLB Draft agreed to terms with Toronto on Tuesday, the team announced.

Groshans, who played shortstop and third base at Magnolia High School in Texas, signed with the Blue Jays for $3.4 million, according to MLB.com's Jim Callis. The slot value for the No. 12 pick is $4,200,900.

On Tuesday, Toronto also agreed to terms with Groshans' high school teammate and third-round pick Adam Kloffenstein. 

Kloffenstein, a pitcher with a mid-90s fastball and low-90s sinker, agreed to a $2.45 million signing bonus with the Blue Jays, according to Callis. The slot value for the No. 88 overall pick is $652,900.

As of Tuesday, the Blue Jays have signed 26 of their 40 selections in the 2018 MLB Draft, including nine of their top 10 picks.
