The Braves are calling up outfield phenom Ronald Acuna in time for their game in Cincinnati on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Miami-based journalist Daniel Alvarez Montes was first to report the news; MLB.com reported the move early Wednesday. Both cited unnamed sources.

The Braves have not announced the promotion.

Acuna, 20, played well enough to make the club out of spring training but the Braves decided to send him to Triple-A Gwinnett for further seasoning (and, unofficially, to manipulate his service time). He's expected to take over as Atlanta's everyday left fielder in place of Preston Tucker.

Acuna batted .232/.321/.304 in 17 games at Gwinnett but hit safely in eight of his last 10 games.
