There's nothing quite like a beer at the ballpark. Jayme Hoskins, the wife of Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins, is making sure some fans at Citizens Bank Park are covered.

Jayme Hoskins has been picking up the tab for Phillies fans throughout this postseason, paying for 50 beers several different nights, starting in the NLCS and running through the World Series.

Mrs. Hoskins has not yet announced on Twitter whether the tradition will continue Thursday for Game 5, but so far, each of the past three Phillies home playoff games have featured a gathering for free beer.

Here's what you need to know about this running beer tab.

Why does Jayme Hoskins buy beer at Phillies playoff, World Series games?

Jayme Hoskin tweeted ahead of Game 3 of the NLCS against the Padres asking if anyone wanted to buy her a beer, which, to be clear, she said was not a serious request.

Two days later, during the Phillies' Game 5 clinching win over San Diego, she changed it up. She said that fans should swing by Section 104 at Citizens Bank Park because she would be buying 50 beers for fans.

The giveaway turned out to be a good omen for the Phillies. They won the game 4-3 and clinched the National League pennant. When the World Series came to Philadelphia for Game 3, the offer was back on the table.

Of course, Monday's game was rained out, but the offer stood the next day.

She gave fans the heads up during Game 3 that she would be back at Section 104 for beers during Game 4, and sent out one final notice to fans before the taps started running.

That Game 4 total wound up becoming 100 beers as she doubled the amount Wednesday.

"Whatever it takes right now, really," Rhys Hoskins said before Game 4, according to The Associated Press. "She's having a lot of fun with it. Obviously, the fans are enjoying it, too."

That would be putting it mildly. Fans were chanting her name at the bar, and they have been taking photos and videos with her over the several days she has kept the beer flowing.
