Up now: Padres reliever Robert Stock

What’s your first baseball memory?
STOCK:
When my parents signed me up for 6-year-old coach pitch 23 years ago. The only two people you put on the field who could actually play was first and second base, because if it was any further than that, there wasn’t a play going to be made. Think I was at second base.

What’s the last show you binge-watched?
STOCK:
The last show we binge-watched was "Escape at Dannemora." Ben Stiller directed it, and it’s about a prison escape in New York a couple years ago. Stars Benicio Del Toro, Paul Dano and Patricia Arquette. It’s really good.

Any superstitions?
STOCK:
Not really, no.

What’s your favorite free-time activity?
STOCK:
Playing "League of Legends," a computer game.

What’s one talent you’d most like to have?
STOCK:
Singing. I supposed I could work on it, but I don’t.

What was your first job?
STOCK:
I haven’t had one other than baseball. In the offseason, I worked in elementary schools a bit, did leadership lessons and things like that.

What’s the best purchase you’ve ever made?
STOCK:
It’s hard to go wrong with my computer because I play the computer games on it.
