Padres vs. Phillies schedule: Complete dates, times, TV channels for 2022 NLCS games image

To call the 2022 National League Championship Series pandemonium would be underselling it.

Those who watched the NLDS wins for the Padres and Phillies saw Petco Park and Citizens Bank Park absolutely rocking, as both teams captured upset wins over the Dodgers and Braves in just four games. Now they move out of the divisional series -- and their divisions -- to play in an NL West vs. NL East showdown.

The Padres are riding the high of upending the 111-win Dodgers behind timely hitting and excellent situational pitching. Trade deadline acquisition Juan Soto had a clutch hit in Game 4 that tied the game, and him taking second on a defensive indifference set up a two-run single by Jake Cronenworth that gave the Padres the lead for good. Meanwhile Joe Hader, who struggled out of the gate after being dealt by the Brewers, was outstanding against Los Angeles.

The Phillies, meanwhile, just straight-up looked better than the Braves. Coming in as the third team in the NL East and the last team into the playoffs, Rob Thomson's squad has been sensational and beaten a pair of division winners in St. Louis and Atlanta. They scored seven, nine, and eight runs in their wins, and simply seemed to bleed a very good Braves team dry. Two of their wins came on bullpen games, with Ranger Suarez and Noah Syndergaard both not making it through four innings.

This series features two teams who are riding serious highs looking to make their first World Series since 1998 in the case of the Padres and 2009 in the case of the Phillies. For the Phillies, it could rest on the arms of Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola. For the Padres, Yu Darvish, Blake Snell, and Joe Musgrove are the arms to watch.

Expect a raucous atmosphere no matter where these two teams are playing. San Diego and Philadelphia have been starved of playoff baseball for a long time. They're eating right in 2022.

Here's what to know about Padres vs. Phillies in the NLCS.
