Do the Mets have their man?
MLB analyst Eduardo Perez has emerged as the "frontrunner" for the manager job in New York, according to USA Today.

Perez, 50, currently serves as an analyst for ESPN's "Baseball Tonight" as well as a co-host with former Mets general manager Steve Phillips on "The Leadoff Spot" on MLB Network Radio.
He played 13 years in MLB batting .247 with 79 home runs and 294 RBIs with the Cardinals, Reds, Angels, Devil Rays, Indians and Mariners.
He also managed the Santurce Crabbers in the Puerto Rican Winter League while also serving as a bench coach for the Astros under Bo Porter in 2013. He resigned in 2014 to spend more time with his family.
The Mets have also been rumored to be considering former players Carlos Beltran and Tim Bogar as well as Joe Girardi who signed on to manage the Phillies this week.
New York fired manager Mickey Callaway after the season.
