MLB All-Star Game 2018: Rosters, lineups, date, start time image

For a few days in July, national attention will be on Washington, and it won't be why you think.

The preliminary rosters for the 2018 MLB All-Star game were announced on Sunday, July 8.

MLB fans voted to determine starters representing their respective conferences for the game, while the commissioner's office filled out the rosters with input from the players.

When is the 2018 MLB All-Star Game?

The 89th MLB All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 17, at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. Fox will televise the All-Star Game with the live broadcast starting at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The annual Home Run Derby will take place the night before, on Monday, July 16, also at Nationals Park.
