Mike Trout produced arguably the greatest #tripleshy non-cycle in recorded baseball history Saturday night.

At minimum, he showed a national TV audience he's extremely good at baseball.

OHTANI'S TIME
Success was always matter of time and timing

The Angels' MVP center fielder drilled a home run, three doubles and a single in his five plate appearances vs. the Yankees in New York. The dinger was Trout's 17th this season, tying him for the major league lead with the Red Sox's Mookie Betts.

"It's always fun to play here and against the Yankees," Trout said, per the Los Angeles Times. "I see the ball good."

The four extra-base hits (a career high) pushed his season total to 31, tying him for second in the bigs with the Braves' Ozzie Albies. They were all well-struck, too.

Likewise, the five hits and 11 total bases set career marks.

To boot, Trout drove in four runs with those hits to help LA rally to an 11-4 win.
