The Dodgers are on a roll after winning nine of their last 10 games, but on Wednesday night, it was rookie Edwin Rios who was red-hot. The Dodgers prospect hit the first two home runs of his Major League career in a 9-1 win over the Marlins.
The 25-year-old singled in his first at-bat before hitting a solo shot in the fourth inning and a two-run homer in the sixth. It's pretty common for teammates to ignore the rookie who just hit his first career home run. As luck would have it, Rios hit two home runs in one game, so he was given double the silent treatment.

His teammates eventually bombarded him with high-fives and congratulations, and the infielder got the opportunity to meet two young Marlins fans who caught his home run ball after the game.

SportsNet LA's Alanna Rizzo asked Rios what was going through Rios' mind rounding the bases after his first home run. He said it was a feeling he'd never forget.

Rios, who attended Florida International University and was drafted by the Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2015 MLB draft, went 3 for 4 at the plate with two home runs, a single and a walk. He is also the first Dodger to hit his first two career home runs in the same game since Cody Bellinger in 2017.
