Tim Tebow went 1 for 4 in the Eastern League All-Star Game on Wednesday night.

He was not, however, part of the Double-A minor league's novel approaching to breaking a tie.

The EL went to "special home run derby" after the Eastern and Western divisions were deadlocked 4-4 after nine innings. The rules, courtesy of the host Trenton (N.J.) Thunder:

Altoona's Will Craig, representing the West, defeated Reading's Zach Green, representing the East, 305-275.

Tebow would have put up five points with this opposite-field double.

Tebow, 30, has been a credible hitting threat this season while playing for the Binghamton (N.Y.) Rumble Ponies in a pitcher-friendly league; the Mets minor leaguer has a .270/.337/.390 slash line and five home runs in 76 games.
