For the 12th year in a row, the Dodgers are set to feature in MLB postseason, locking down a playoff spot after Thursday’s 20-4 demolition of the Miami Marlins.
This 12-season playoff streak is now the third-longest in MLB history, with only the Atlanta Braves (14 straight from 1991 to 2005) and the New York Yankees (13 straight from 1995 to 2007) putting together longer runs.
On top of that, their roster moves have been pure gold. Shohei Ohtani is in the hunt for his third MVP in four years, and even though Yamamoto was sidelined for three months with a shoulder injury, he came roaring back on September 10. The 26-year-old now boasts a 2.63 ERA and 95 strikeouts in just 82 innings.
