David Dahl injury update: X-rays negative after Rockies outfielder carted off field, Bud Black says image

David Dahl has sustained yet another unfortunate injury.

The Rockies outfielder was carted off the field during Friday's game against the Giants after he sustained what appeared to be a severe ankle injury.

Here is the play.

We must warn you, it is graphic.

Dahl was clearly in pain after making the play and very emotional.

It's understandable considering his history.

The 25-year-old has never played a full season in MLB despite making his debut in 2016.

He missed all of the 2017 season with an assortment of upper-body injuries and was out a good portion of 2018 with a foot issue.

Dahl was in the middle of a career year before going down with another foot problem Friday.

He was hitting .302 with 15 home runs and 61 RBIs.

Update: Manager Bud Black told reporters X-rays came back negative after the game. The team will continue to evaluate him Saturday.
