Corey Kluber injury update: Indians pitcher struck by line drive, fractures arm image

The Indians likely just lost another starting pitcher for a while.

Corey Kluber suffered a non-displaced fracture of his right ulna in Cleveland's 4-2 loss to the Marlins on Wednesday.

He will be re-evaluated in Cleveland on Thursday.

Kluber suffered the injury when he took a 102-mph line drive off of his arm on a shot by Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson.

Anderson spoke about the play after the game.

"It's tough. It's never what you want to see," he said, via MLB.com. "I don't even know what to say. It's sad to hear ... It's baseball."

Kluber will likely go on the injured list joining fellow Indians starter Mike Clevinger, who is on the 60-day IL with a back injury.

Cleveland is in second place in the American League Central with a 16-13 record. It is two games back of the Twins, who defeated the Astros, 6-2, on Wednesday.
