By me some peanuts and … coookieees?! Om nom nom nom.

Cookie Monster was the celebrity singer Thursday for the Cubs' traditional "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh-inning stretch. ("Me so excited!" he said ahead of the performance.)

Suffice it to say, Cookie crushed it.

He started with, "Hello, Cubs fans! Today, C is for Cubbies!" — a twist on his Sesame Street signature "C is for cookies!" — before leading the Wrigley Field faithful in singing the song.

To close things, he paid tribute to Cubs broadcasting icon Harry Caray's "Let's get some runs!" song-ending plea.

Cookie's take: "Let's get some coookieees!"

The Cubs didn't need any more cookies (or runs) as they maintained their 9-7 lead to defeat the Braves.
