According to Harper's Instagram post, the baby boy weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Harper, 26, flew home to Las Vegas after Wednesday night’s win against the Red Sox to be with his wife. According to MLB rules, players are allowed three day's of paternity leave before they must return to action.

That means Harper will be back in Philadelphia on Monday, when the Phillies host the Pirates.

Bryce and Kayla have been married since December 2016 and announced right after Bryce's first game with the Phillies that they were expecting a baby boy.

Before Harper went on paternity leave, he was slashing .254/.373/.497 with 27 homers, 92 RBI and 77 runs.
