Another young gun is headed to the Blue Jays' major-league roster.
Toronto has recalled catcher Reese McGuire from Triple-A Buffalo and placed catcher Luke Maile on the 10-day IL (left oblique strain), the team announced Saturday.

McGuire will serve as the back-up to Danny Jansen in Maile's absence, but did not make it to Toronto in time for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The 24-year-old has played in 72 games with Triple-A Buffalo this season, registering 60 hits and 30 runs and a batting average of .249.
Maile's recorded nine RBI with a .153 batting average in 41 games with the Blue Jays this season.
