Bo Bichette's major league career is off to an electric start.

The Toronto rookie hit a double against the Baltimore Orioles in the top of the fifth inning Friday and, according to the Blue Jays, set a franchise record in the process.

Bichette was first called up to the big leagues on July 29 and collected his first MLB hit on just the second pitch he saw. After Friday's game against Baltimore, Bichette has smacked more than one hit in three of his first five games, hit one home run and had two runs batted in for a .409 average.

The Blue Jays have been successful since Bichette's call-up, too; they've won each of his first five games with the team. Toronto remains well out of the race for the playoffs, so a late-season comeback seems improbable, but the five-game win streak is the team's longest of the season.
